Kevin Cornelius has sent along the first shots of his new-look Super Late Model as he prepares for the 2014 season. The Shelburne, ON veteran was forced out of competition midway through his rookie season in 2013, after suffering an industrial accident that severely injured his hand.
Now fully healed, Cornelius will open up his 2014 campaign at Sunset Speedway on May 18th. A former Sunset Speedway Limited Late Model champion, Cornelius joins a talent-laden tour that already includes 2014 Don Biederman Memorial winner Dwayne Baker, 2014 Autumn Colours Classic winner Andrew Gresel and 4-time tour champion Glenn Watson.

Mini Stock up-and-comer Danny Benedict has sent along an 'in progress' shot of his brand new Ford Mustang build. The Orono, ON driver has a busy season ahead of him, as his family-run operation will compete fulltime at the newly re-opened Kawartha Speedway on Fridays and Peterborough Speedway on Saturdays.
Prior to its re-opening, Benedict held the distinction of being the last recorded Mini Stock feature winner at Kawartha. The karting graduate will complete his ambitious 2014 schedule with help from Don's Auto Shop. Here's our first look at third-generation competitor Gerritt Tiemersma's ride for the 2014 season. Gerritt, son of former Sunset Speedway Late Model standout Steve Tiemersma, will compete fulltime in Sunset's Mini Stock division this season. A graduate of the Karting ranks, Tiemersma acquired his ride from former Flamboro Speedway front-runner Josh Shantz at the end of the 2013 season. The Newmarket, ON driver joins a crowded Rookie of the Year race that includes fellow multi-generational talents Connor James, Jordan Howse and Nic Montinari.
The Hurricane Midgets will open up their 2014 season on May 24th at Peterborough Speedway. Drivers are beginning to put the finishing touches on their rides, with only weeks left until opening night. Trenton, ON's Jessica James has sent along this photo of her Noco sponsored entry, with its brand new look for 2014. James will race fulltime with the Hurricane Midgets this season.

Here's a look at Kenny McNicol Jr's Super Stock, primed for full-time competition at Delaware Speedway in 2014. The Exeter, ON veteran joins a stacked Super Stock roster, that already includes former champion 'Cowboy' Kris Lawrence, perennial contender Darrell Lake, up-and-comer Kathleen Hosang and Rookie of the Year contender Gary Adriaensen. McNicol's ride will carry primary sponsorship from McNicol Welding & Fabrication.
