LAVAL, QC – This Sunday (May 20), the all-new Canadian Stock Car Championship (CSCC) for Late Model Sportsman (LMS) stock cars will take to the track at Montreal's Autodrome St-Eustache.
If the series' name isn't familiar, everything else about it will be. The new travelling series will feature many of the same star drivers and facilities that fans have come to know over the past decade under the Série ACT banner.
At the beginning of the month, the Shamrock Promotions Inc. team, with Marc Patrick Roy at the helm, announced they would pursue the work started in February 2017, at Tom Curley’s request, but now under a new name: CSCC LMS.
Close to 20 cars are expected to participate in the first round of the 2018 Championship; competing for 125 laps on the 4/10-mile oval just north of Montreal, in St-Eustache.
Open practice, for all classes, will debut at 1:30pm. Qualifying races will start at 4:55pm, while the main event will be run under the lights at around 7:00 p.m.
